So I went to the doctor for what I thought was going to be a pretty routine checkup. A few minutes in and a few questions later, I realized this wasn't going to be as painless as i had hoped.
My blood pressure was good, my temperature was good, all reflexes were working properly, I am of healthy weight and have no history of medical complications. I get sick about once every 5 years, and have never been on any type of medication. So what could be wrong with me?
It seems that at the bright young age of 24, I might have TESTICULAR CANCER.
The Doc gives me 50/50 between that and enlarged blood vessels, either of which is not exactly what I would call good. Both options will require some sort of surgery, and obviously cancer isn't fun.
So what did I do with the rest of my day? Well I went straight to the mall bought a new pair of shoes, and a HUGE cone of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I am pretty sure the cancer will go away now, because everyone knows shoes and ice cream heal all.
I have all sorts of fun doctors appointments to go to this next week to figure out just exactly whats up. No matter the outcome, I am sure I will gain a new perspective on life. I don't have a fear of death, after all it takes nothing from me, So it denies a future- I have never experienced future, only past. i can't miss something i have never experienced, and death sure as hell can't take away my past, it already happened. I will continue having a good life as long as i live, be it 6 months or 100 years. Sorry for the rant, I have just had a couple of things on my mind today :)
